My Expedition Everest 5K Training Progress

January 13, 2009

So, in the spirit of my New Year’s Resolutions, I’d like to offer an update on the progress I’ve made in training for the Expedition Everest 5K (and yes, I know that 5K is really like 3 miles and a 34 year old woman really shouldn’t even need to train to run that).

Buying cute new workout clothes totally counts as training, right?

Ok, so in addition to buying very cute new workout clothes, I’ve also been working out about an hour a day! While I’d really like to run outside, I’m afraid of falling on my butt in the ice. So, for now, it’s purely indoor training.

The good news — I’m back to my pre-Disney, pre-holiday weight! (down 8 1/2 pounds from Labor Day, and down 13 pounds from my non-pregnant heaviest).

We have to train for this?! LOL OK..I think I’ll be walking with Kay!

You’re new outfits are beyond cute! And congrats on the weight loss. I feel like I’m finding the pounds others are losing!

Happy Birthday. :)

You crack me up! I too have to do some serious training to be able to run this 5K — and I prefer not to think about it in miles. Cute workout clothes might help me a little too.
