As my part-time job winds down, I’m faced again with a change in my life. I’ve been through quite a few of these changes over the last five years, and every time, it’s been for the best. So, I’m excited to start anew.
While running (yes, I’m still training for the EE5K), I was thinking of my mission statements, or Multitasking Mommy Festo, of things that I always have to remember, regardless of what job I’m doing, or what else is going on. Here are my rules to live by, and I encourage you to post your own, and comment below!
- I am not perfect, and I acknowledge that I will make mistakes. I will also seek help when I need it.
- I won’t apologize for my successes, because I’ve worked hard for them. I’ll also embrace my failures, because they are a part of who I am.
- I’ll remember that when life closes a door, it opens a window. It may be a little difficult to find that window, but I have to at least look for it.
- Not everyone shares my values and ideas, but it’s important to understand and acknowledge other people’s opinions.
- A path to success may be paved with roadblocks and “no’s”.
- The answer can’t be yes if I don’t ask the question.
- I promise to end every day thinking about the things in life I have to be thankful for.
- I’ll visualize my goals to make them more tangible. It’s easier to work toward something if I know what I’m working toward.

I love #6! it is going on my wall of favorite quotes! You should trademark it.
I love this list I’m going to take a few for myself. I think that it is very important to write down your goals, this way you can see and read them each day. If you don’t you might forget what they are. After I reach each of my goals I reward myself. Now first thing first, reaching my goal is the first reward and second the reward is not monetary it is more like a few minutes of book reading by our pond etc.
