So, I’m headed to BlogHer next week – my first one. I have heard how great it is, but have never been. When I first saw the agenda, it looked like a whole lot of sessions, but turns out it’s really PARTIES! sessions PARTIES! PARTIES! sessions PARTIES PARTIES PARTIES PARTIES! and more PARTIES!
Seriously, people, how am I going to go to this many parties? At first it was just a few parties like the actual BlogHer sponsored party, and the People’s Party. Then it was SocialLuxe, where I was actually asked to be a VIP! Then bowling, and private parties, and swag suites and massages, and ice cream, and oh my gosh, I am already lost.
So, the pressure is on a bit, to pack just the right stuff… there’s the MamaPop party that suggests sparkly attire. SocialLuxe – where the hostesses are getting outfitted with gorgeous outfits… I tried to get a clothing sponsor, but the only company emailing me is this one (clearly they have no idea what two c-sections does to the body of a woman under 5 ft tall). One PR professional I work with suggested a Snow White costume (I think she was joking though).
I’ve decided to keep it real – with clothes from my closet. No BlogHer shopping spree for me. I still don’t know what I’m going to bring, but it’s going to be pretty representative of what I usually wear….
I hope to be live blogging at least some of the BlogHer experience, so stay tuned!!

I absolutely think you should’ve taken the clothes from the sponsor. You in a bikini eating kiwis, me in my torn dress eating McDonald’s. What a site. There’s always next year!!
