Back on January 1st, when I wrote out my resolutions for the year, I promised to update this blog with my progress. Although I’ve discussed all of them on some level, I realized I never actually put my progress together in one post. I’m actually pleased with how I’ve done, although I still could do much better!
1 – I resolve to survive financially without my severance checks, which are ending this month.
This one is really hard, I’ll be honest. But, I’ve found consulting, freelance, and part-time roles which have helped. My income is the one thing I miss the most about my old job.
2 – I promise to lose the weight I gained at Disney World, as well as the extra pounds I still had to lose.
Sooooo…… the bad news? I gained 15 pounds this year. The good news – it’s all muscle. I’ve been doing ChaLEAN Extreme, and while my weight has gone up, I’m still in my same size clothes (which is 2 sizes down from where I’d been for a while).
3 – I will try my hardest to update this blog regularly (at least twice a month).
I’ve been updating this blog more like two to three times a week.
4 – I will run the Expedition Everest 5K, even though at this time running half a mile is a challenge.
Despite my continued difficulties, I’ll be running the race. At this time, I can run 2 miles straight, and 3.1 miles with stopping only twice. I can do it!
5 – And, to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, I’ll update this blog with my progress.
See? Here I am, following through on this!
How are you doing with your resolutions?
