I wrote all about my learnings at the TJMaxx/Marshalls mom blogger event, but of course, there are all of these fun “behind the scenes” aspects of the event that I thought would be more appropriate for here.
- After being all “I know Boston, I can get there right before dinner”, I realized a second too late that I thought the hotel was the Park Plaza, not the Fairmont Copley Plaza. My bad. Made it with 5 minutes to spare (enough to check in, drop off my luggage, and run out the door).
- The hotel – The Fairmont Copley Plaza – has amazingly spacious and modern rooms for an older, city hotel. Wow! I really wish I’d stayed there longer!
- Dinner was great – I sat with Michele from One Chic Mama, Felicia from Go Graham Go, Melanie from Mel, A Dramatic Mommy, Mindy from Mommies With Cents, Jennifer from The Dirty Shirt, and Mindi from Moms Need to Know.
- After dinner, I played tour guide (little did they know I’d already gone to the wrong hotel – LOL) with Michele, Melanie, Mindy, Mindi, Jennifer, and Susan from 5 Minutes for Mom, and we went to the Rattlesnake Rooftop Bar, where we enjoyed some nice Boston July weather.
- When I woke up in the morning, I missed my kids SO MUCH, so I rushed out of the hotel and drove home for 15 minutes before meeting everyone at TJX headquarters.
- And, before you know it, the event was over
But, I’m so grateful to have made some new friends, to have met many people that I’ve wanted to meet, and to see some old friends!
