#FitFriday

So, this #fitfriday comes a day late, courtesy of a crazy day yesterday that involved me being stuck with a dead car, in the rain, with my two kids, in a large park. But that’s another story.

Now that the Your Shape challenge is over (with almost no weight loss for me, sadly) I’ve been thinking of ways to really lose weight and get more healthy. I’m almost through Jillian Michael’s book about Metabolism, which has really got me considering some major changes in my diet. I’m cutting out almost all processed foods, and focusing on those that really have a health benefit. In fact, this week, I’m going to do Dr. Lindsey’s (from Genesis Today) New Year’s cleanse (albeit a few months late). So wish me luck, as I start on Monday.

In the meantime, I’m also focusing on training for this next half marathon, and trying to build lean muscle so that I can increase my metabolism. I’ve restarted ChaLEAN Extreme, and will be incorporating more yoga into my routine.

Bear with me, as these next two weeks will be transition weeks. I’ll still do Your Shape, I’ll still run, but I’m making some other major changes.
