Growing Up

June 6, 2011

It felt like just yesterday, when I was laying on my left side all day long, every day, on bed rest for 7 weeks.  In reality, it was almost 7 years.  But it really wasn’t that long ago.

This past weekend, I think my daughter aged 10 years.  She started playing with our neighbor, a nice little girl who is three years older.  But the difference between kindergarten and third grade is really pretty large.

They ran from house to house playing.  They created a lemonade stand.  They started a new “business”, mall pets, where they are going to “sell” small pets.  They dragged me to the town forest so they could catch small animals like fish and turtles (they had success with fish, but no luck with turtles).

My little guy, although not purposely left out, felt left out.  He told me that his sister doesn’t love him anymore.

I had a whole mommy and me day planned yesterday, but she wasn’t interested.  She wanted to play with her new friend.

Another stage, I guess.
